At Pest Shield we honor our warranties and will do our best to provide the best service possible. Below is a breakdown of why we can’t give warranty for certain pests. The warranty doesn’t have anything to do with the chemicals we use or our treatment methods, there are other factors that is out of our control that prevent us from offering a warranty for those pests. All warranties are at the discretion of the technician.
German cockroaches breed rapidly. One female will lay 40-50 eggs and takes only 103 days for those nymphs to become adults. To put this in perspective, the average Oriental cockroach lays about 16 eggs and the nymphs takes 600 days to become adults. Because of the rapid breeding cycles of these cockroaches, we can’t provide any warranty for them.
Spiders needs to be treated directly to be effective. Because of the way they travel, the pesticide don’t affect them in the same way it would for cockroaches or ants. After a general pest treatment the population would be completely exterminated, but we can’t prevent any new spiders re-entering the property. We usually recommend leaving any spider webs up for a week after the treatment to enable any other spiders that travels on the web to be affected.
Bed Bugs & Fleas
Bed bugs are a massive problem that is directly related to travelling. Because Bed Bugs/Fleas travel with their host, we can’t prevent any person/pet with Bed Bugs/Fleas from entering or re-entering your home or hotel.
Ticks usually enter a property on Bandicoots or other animals. Because we have no control over any Bandicoot or any other animal with a Tick entering your property, a warranty can’t be extended for this pest.
Invoices are final and Pest Shield are under no obligation to re-treat for pests that isn’t covered under warranty on the invoice.
